He resided in Montreal for over 30 years, travelled worldwide for his work and had made Bathurst his home for the past 6 years.

Theo attended the Sacred-Heart College in the 1950’s in Bathurst. He then graduated from St. Francis Xavier University in 1960 with a degree in Science and then obtained a degree in Engineering from the University of New Brunswick in 1962.

Theo had a great passion for sailing, having sailed in many places in North America.

For his entire career, Theo worked as a civil engineer for Janin Construction (GTMI) based in Montreal. In 1963, his first project was the installation of a lighthouse in Tadoussac, QC at the entrance of the Saguenay River. He retired in Octobe

r 2001 after the Jemseg bridge project in Oromocto, NB. His work brought him from Africa to Newfoundland to Calgary to the Maritimes. He worked on many projects wordwide including: the PEI Confederation bridge (1993-97), the Ville-Marie Tunne

l (1973), the Complex Desjardins (1975) and the Turcot Interchange (1966), all in Montreal, the Pierre-Laporte bridge (1970) in Quebec City, and the Hibernia project in Newfoundland.
