In his early years, Ben developed tuberculosis and was sent to the River Glade Sanitorium where he met his lovely wife, Ruth. They married in 1950, moved to Saint John (Ketepec area) and Ben began work as an X-ray technician at the East Saint Joh n Hospital, the DVA and the Saint John Regional. Ben and Ruth had 3 children -- Connie, Judy and Gregory. Ben was a passionate musician, playing in a band and delighting in every opportunity to share his musical talent. He coached KBM Little Leagu e Baseball for many years and had the honour of having their field named after him. Eventually, Ben moved in with Judy and her family and lived there until his death. A lifelong Catholic, Ben was a member of St. Augustine's, St. Matthews, St. Rose and St. Peters churches over the years. |
