Après avoir obtenu son diplôme d'études secondaires, John a été enrôlé dans l'armée américaine au Vietnam.

Après avoir servi honorablement en Corée pendant le conflit, il a reçu sa décharge honorable et est retourné dans sa ville natale bien-aimée de Fort Kent, où il a été membre à vie de la VFW, Fort Kent.

John a travaillé à l'usine de Pinkham comme opérateur d'équipement lourd pendant de nombreuses années.

After receiving his high school diploma, John was drafted into the US Army during Vietnam.

After serving honorably in Korea during the conflict, he received his honorable discharge and returned to his beloved hometown of Fort Kent, where he was a lifetime member of the VFW, Fort Kent.

John worked at the Pinkham Mill as a heavy equipment operator for many years.
