Brian s'est joint aux Forces armées en 1967 à Chatham et a passé les 25 années suivantes à protéger notre pays. Il a été affecté en Allemagne, à Greenwood et de retour à Chatham où il a pris sa retraite en 1991. Avant de prendre sa retraite, il es

t devenu un spécialiste EOD où il a été formé au déminage et à la diffusion.

Il aimait son temps dans le service et cela lui manquait vraiment.

Il a ensuite rétabli sa licence de directeur de funérailles et d'embaumeur pour travailler dans l'entreprise familiale de la maison funéraire Thompson, à Richibucto pendant les 20 prochaines années.

Il a siégé au conseil exécutif de l'Association des directeurs de funérailles et des embaumeurs du Nouveau-Brunswick (AENBFM) pendant 7 ans et en a été le président en 2005-2006. Pendant ce temps, il a présidé un poste au sein de l'Association de

s services funéraires du Canada (ASFC).

Brian a été président de la Marina de Richibucto pendant de nombreuses années et a siégé activement au conseil d'administration de l'Administration portuaire.

Brian joined the Armed Forces in 1967 in Chatham and spent the next 25 years protecting our Country.

He was posted in Germany, Greenwood and back to Chatham where he retired in 1991. Before retiring, he became an EOD specialist where he was trained in bomb disposal and diffusing. He loved his time in the service and he really did miss it.

He then reinstated his Funeral Director and Embalmer license to work at the family business of Thompson’s Funeral Home, in Richibucto for the next 20+ years.

He sat on the executive board of the New Brunswick Funeral Directors and Embalmers Association (NBFDEA) for 7 years and being President in 2005-2006. During this time he chaired a position on the Funeral Services Association of Canada (FSAC).

Brian was the President of the Richibucto Marina for many years and sat actively on the Board of the Port Authority.
