Paul attended Loch Lomond Elementary School and was a graduate of Simonds High School Class of 1973.

Paul was employed for a time with Saint John Shipbuilding then returned to his early interest in drafting receiving his diploma in 1981 from the NBCC, St. Andrews Campus . He was employed soon afterward by NB Power at the Point Lepreau generatin

g Station. Paul also spent time as a Taxi Driver in Saint John. His passions and pastimes were writing poetry and dabbling in painting.
