He joined the Royal Canadian Air Force at a young age and worked his way up to the rank of Sergeant. While he enjoyed postings in France and throughout Canada, a certain career highlight was working with the Snowbirds Aerial Demonstration Team

. It was in Ottawa where he met the woman of his dreams, Theresa Rose Marie Aldrich.

Humble and quiet, he taught all around him the values of hard work, integrity and devotion. He epitomized the "strong/silent type".

He was a patient and gifted woodworker, an expert gardener and he always came up with the right answer... no matter the question. He just seemed to know. Urbain built a cottage near his hometown where he always breathed a little easier. He enjoye
