Roger was employed for over 35 years with NB Power, retiring in 1994. Roger was involved in sports all his life, including Hockey, Baseball and Bowling; Competing on many championship teams.

The Scouting movement was a very big part of his life, from Cubs to Rovers. Roger organized many activities with the Rover Crew, who still remained in contact with him over the years.

Roger was a member of the U.C.T., Bathurst, and was also very active member of Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 18, becoming president in 2007 and was made a life member in 2008.
