Connie was a retired registered nurse and received her nursing diploma from L' Hotel-Dieu Hospital in Edmundston, New Brunswick, Canada in 1951. She lovingly practiced nursing in Edmundston and Hartford, Connecticut. She was an avid bird watcher

, enjoyed gardening, and was happiest simply spending time with her family. She was considered the "pillar" of her family and enjoyed life to the fullest at her summer home in Lac Unique, St. Francois, New Brunswick, Canada.
