At the age of 15, Jeannine left home to work as a live in maid and housekeeper for a Physician and his wife in St. Leonard, NB.

She then held several positions as waitress, Machine Operator, and business manager.

She owned and operated Avon Country Store in Avon Ct for a number of years and retired from Shell Food Mart in East Hartford, Ct.
