Vi worked at the Sugar Refinery for several years retiring in the late 60’s. She was a devout Catholic, attending Assumption in her earlier years with her family and then Stella Maris later in life. Vi loved to play cards, especially 45's, crib

, scat and Chinese bingo. She treasured her earlier days on Ellerdale Street where she would sing, play guitar and party with her friends. She absolutely loved flowers and had a "green thumb" for any house plant.
