At the age of 19 Leonard enlisted in the army as a gunner. He spent 4 ½ years in the European campaign in WWII. After the war, he worked in the mines and logging industry for several years. He then worked for the Butternut Bakery for 15 years an

d drove taxi until his retirement. Leonard was an avid sports enthusiast all his life. His enthusiasm and passion for sports and life was second to none. His last accomplishment was at the age of 90 where he climbed the Sugarloaf Mountain with man
