Avant de prendre sa retraite, Marguerite a travaillé pendant plusieurs années à l’usine Richibucto Cape Lobster Shop. Elle était membre du Club de l’âge d’or et aimait beaucoup jardiner, cuisiner et tricoter. Elle fréquentait l’église Saint-Antoin
