Après cela, elle et son défunt mari Stanley ont ouvert une salle de boissons à Port Elgin qu'ils ont exploitée pendant de nombreuses années.

Après le décès de Stanley, Louise a continué à travailler chez Northern Telecom.

Louise worked at several local jobs, including the Mount Allison University Library and Borden's Restaurant.

After this, she and her late husband Stanley opened a beverage room in Port Elgin which they operated for many years.

Following Stanley's passing, Louise went on to be employed at Northern Telecom.
