M. Lavoie a debuté sa carrière au CN, ensuite a travaillé au département des Pêches et Océans pour plus de 37 ans, avant de prendre sa retraite. Il était membre des Vétérans de Dieppe, du Club d'Âge d'Or et de la paroisse Christ-Roi.

s service to his country with Fisheries and Oceans Canada where he retired as district supervisor with 37 years of service. His love of the outdoors, especially fishing and hunting, was overshadowed only by his love and commitment to his family
