Note		Clifford avait une foi profonde et fut un fervent catholique romain toute sa vie. Il priait quotidiennement avec Leona pour leur famille et pour tous ceux qu'ils connaissaient ayant besoin de prières. Il a fréquenté l'église catholique romaine Immaculée Conception à Rexton. Au fil des années, Clifford a eu deux employeurs principaux, Robb Engineering, d'Amherst, en Nouvelle-Écosse, et la Société des alcools du Nouveau-Brunswick. En 1952, Clifford s'est rendu à Amherst pour postuler pour un emploi chez Robb's. Il a été embauché sur-le-champ et on lui a dit de se présenter le lendemain à l'agrandissement de l'édifice Timothy Eaton à Moncton. Peu de temps après son embauche, son patron est venu le chercher et ils se sont rendus à l'aéroport de Moncton. Ils sont montés à bord d'un petit avion et se sont rendus à Summerside, à l'Île-du-Prince-Édouard. Sa mission consistait à porter une lourde ampoule sur son dos, à escalader une tour de signalisation de 550 pieds à l'aéroport de Summerside et à changer la lumière. Avec Robb’s, il a travaillé partout au Canada atlantique sur divers ponts comme le pont Bras D’or au Cap-Breton et sur divers bâtiments comme les hangars aériens de la BFC Greenwood. Après 13 ans sur la route (7 ans célibataires, 6 avec Leona et la famille qui s'agrandit), ils décident de s'installer. En 1965, il se joint à la Société des Alcools NB. La famille commence alors sa nouvelle vie à Richibucto. Cliff a pris sa retraite d'Alcool NB en 1995, après 30 ans de service. Cliff a été un bénévole actif tout au long de ses années de travail et de retraite ; pour l'Église catholique de Richibucto, il a travaillé au bingo hebdomadaire qui a rentabilisé la nouvelle église moderne en moins de 20 ans, pour l'Église catholique de Rexton, il a travaillé aux soupers de l'église et on pouvait toujours compter sur lui pour faire le gros travail et les travaux saisonniers. l'église, la salle paroissiale et le cimetière. Il a également été pompier volontaire pendant de nombreuses années. Il a livré des « popotes roulantes » à la communauté de 1995 à 2010. Clifford had deep faith and was a devout Roman Catholic his whole life. He prayed daily with Leona for their family, and for anyone they knew in need of prayers. He attended the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church in Rexton. Over the years, Clifford had two main employers, Robb Engineering, Amherst, NS and the NB Liquor Corp. In 1952, Clifford went to Amherst to apply for work with Robb’s. He was hired on the spot and told to show up the next day at the Timothy Eaton building expansion in Moncton. Shortly after he was hired, his boss picked him up, they drove to the Moncton airport. They boarded a small plane and flew to Summerside, PEI. His assignment was to carry a heavy light bulb on his back, climb a 550 foot signal tower at the Summerside airport and change the light. With Robb’s, he worked throughout Atlantic Canada on various bridges such as the Bras D’or bridge in Cape Breton and on various buildings like the air hangars at CFB Greenwood. After 13 years on the road (7 while single, 6 with Leona and the growing family), they decided to settle down. In 1965, he joined the NB Liquor Corp. The family then began their new life in Richibucto. Cliff retired from NB Liquor in 1995, after 30 years of service. Cliff was an active volunteer throughout his work and retirement years; for the Richibucto Catholic Church, he worked the weekly bingo which paid off the new modern church in less than 20 years, for the Rexton Catholic Church, he worked church suppers and could always be counted on to do the heavy-lifting and seasonal work on the church, church hall and cemetery. He was also a volunteer firefighter for many years. He delivered ‘Meals-on-Wheels’ to the community from 1995 to 2010.
