She graduated from Bathurst High School and worked at the former Bathurst Power & Paper, also at Eaton’s in Moncton and Toronto for a period of time and later years at Northern Machine Works.

She did a lot of volunteer work in her early years, canvassing from door to door for different organizations & working at the Blood Clinics at the Legion Hall. She and her husband enjoyed dancing, traveling and playing cards, "45’s" especially wi

th their friends.

She was a member of the First United Church, life member of the U.C.W, Order of the Eastern Star, received a life membership of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Herman J. Good, V.C. Br. 18 of the Royal Canadian Legion, Bathurst, in 2010 and membe
