As a very young man, Don learned to work hard and to take on whatever job was available to support himself and his family. He worked on the railway, at shipyards, and as an Orderly at the General Hospital and the Ridgewood Veterans Wing for ove

r 10 years.

Don was a proud Veteran of the Canadian Army, peace keeping in Germany for 2 ½ years before coming back to Canada to continue his life here.

He was an early entrepreneur and ran several small businesses including a lumber supply enterprise with his brother and a convenience store with his wife before becoming the Owner/Operator of A&M Appliances for 25 years and then retiring.
