Jacques grew up in Ottawa and Fredericton where his father served as a Federal Cabinet Minister under Prime Minister MacKenzie King and later as Chief Justice of the Court of Queen's Bench in NB. Jacques graduated from the University of New Brunsw

ick in 1956. He worked for the Federal Business Development Bank and Petro Canada until his retirement. During his retirement he used his considerable talents to assist in World Bank projects in the former Yugoslavia and China. In past years volun

teer activities included the Shediac Lobster Festival and the New Brunswick Nursing Home Association. Jacques spent his last few years living quietly in St. Andrews-by-the-Sea, NB.
