He attended schools in Upton and Newry.He served in the U. S. Navy as a fireman first class from 1944 to 1946.

For more than 40 years he worked at Boise Cascade until his retirement in 1986 as a machine tender on the super calendars.

He was a communicant of St. Athanasius and St. John Church.

He loved the outdoors and going to camp on East B Hill.

He was a member of Napoleon Ouellette Post 24, American Legion, Robert Shand Post 1641, VFW, Rumford Falls Aerie 1248, FOE and LeParesseux Snowshoe Club.
