After graduating from high school in Edmundston, Yvette attended Joan of Arc Commercial School in Ottawa, Ontario. She worked for the Canadian National Railroad (CNR) in Edmundston.

For many years, she supported her husband's medical practice by tirelessly handling all aspects of his home-based office in Madawaska, Maine. In retirement, the part of the year that she spent in Florida with family and friends brought her much jo
