Stella was a faithful member of St. Mark's Parish. She belonged to and participated in the Ladies Auxiliary of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #58. Stella enjoyed and spent numerous hours volunteering at the Kennebecasis Food Basket; as well as

, the Kennebecasis Valley Library and Meals-on-Wheels. Stella was honourably recognized by receiving certificates of appreciation in 1992 and again in 2005 for her outstanding volunteer work within her community.
