Born in Melrose, NB on January 23, 1922 but moved to Saint John where he lived his whole life. At the start of WWII he joined the NB Rangers and served overseas in France, Holland and Germany as a Gunner. After the war he began working for the Nat

ional Harbour Board Police from where he retired after 35 years. He loved to fish, hunt and garden and tinker in his shop, usually as a carpenter, but he was a jack of all trades. Frederick also very much enjoyed his cottage at Public Landing.
