Rita was a 1940 graduate of Fitchburg High School. For over 25 years, Rita worked for the Union Coal Company in Fitchburg, and later in Leominster as an Office Clerk. She was a former member of the British American Club, where she served as Treasu

rer. Rita also belonged to the Fitchburg Knitting Club.

Rita loved visiting Prince Edward Island, Newport, Rhode Island and Cape Cod. She was happiest when spending time with her family and friends. She loved knitting, needlepoint, walking, visiting with her friends. She was a member of Sacred Heart Ch

urch and later St. Anthony di Padua Catholic Church, both of Fitchburg. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew her.
