Tony grew up in Moncton where he graduated college mastering in Audio Electronics. He then worked for companies 3M and Kodak. Moving to Fredericton in the early 80's, Tony became self-employed so he could spend more time with his family. He opene d up his own audio repair shop (Solid Gold Sound Service) from the basement of his house. Years later, the business grew to a retail store on Hanwell at Hanwell Square. His business provided audio retail sales, repair service and speaker manufactu ring. The mid 90's was the peak of the business and the name around town was simply known as "Solid Gold Sound". After closing the store 10 years ago for financial reasons, he continued operating out of his home. In 2007 he went to work for Brunsw ick News to earn extra income. He still continued to run his business from home in the afternoons and evenings. He had multiple paper routes in Fredericton, Oromocto and Stanley over the years. The last 3+ years he was delivering papers and flyer s to the Hanwell Area. This summer he decided that he wanted a change. He started a new business venture with his son, and his last day with Brunswick News was Oct. 19th, 2013. |
