Né à Dalhousie, il a passé son enfance à Balmoral et à Campbellton. Il demeurait à Moncton, sa ville d’adoption, depuis maintenant plusieurs années.

Il laisse aussi dans le deuil la grande famille du Théâtre Capitol qu’il a géré pendant 15 ans. Marc sera pleuré par les artistes et les artisans du milieu culturel de l’Acadie, de partout au Canada et ailleurs dans le monde. Militant pour la caus

e environnementale et pour l’équité dans la société, il a aussi été très actif auprès du Parti Libéral du Nouveau-Brunswick et du Canada.

En 2010, Marc a été nommé membre de l’Ordre du Canada en reconnaissance de « sa contribution à l’épanouissement de la musique, des arts et de la culture acadienne, de même que pour la promotion de la francophonie ». En 2008, il reçoit le Prix de

s bâtisseurs de l’Association de la musique de la côte est (ECMA), organisme avec lequel il a été impliqué pendant plusieurs années. En 2012, il reçoit la médaille du Jubilée de la Reine et est nommé Professionnel de l’industrie de musique..

Marc, in collaboration with others from the cultural community, initiated la FrancoFête en Acadie. He was very involved with representing the Province of New Brunswick from 1993 Sommet de la Francophonie and was the associate Operations Directo

r of the Sommet de la Francophonie when that event was held in Moncton in 1999. Marc also organized artistic events at every editions of the Congrès Mondial Acadien since 1994. In 2010, Marc cultivated a new interest when he incorporated the Circu
