In his young years Paul moved to Amherst and worked for Goodwins Supermarket, Amherst and then at Robb Engineering where he was a member of the United Steel Workers of America. Paul was a member of the Air Cadets in Dorchester where he receive d his pilot wings. He was co-owner of Albion Auto and finished his career as manager of Coast Tire, Amherst when retiring in 2013. Paul was a member of Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons of NS, Past Master of Alexandra Lodge #87, Member of Philae Shriners of NS & PEI and Secretary of Cumberland Shrine Club. He was also President-elect for 2015. Member of Philae Shrine Cl own Unit and was a first year graduate of Northeast Clown Institute. Paul was the President of Amherst Masonic Society, Member of Cumberland Chapter #13 Royal Arch Masons and held an office. He served as Chairman and member of various committee' s at Masonic Lodge and Cumberland Shrine Club. Paul was a dedicated supporter of Shriners Hospitals for Children. He held memberships with the Brookdale Hog Growers Association & Tantramar Community Radio. He was a great father and wonderful grand father and best friend to many. With a great passion for his family and friends it showed by his countenance and his smile on his face. The more people around him the larger the smile and the comment was always « how lucky am I with everyone I lov e around me ». His organizing skills and desire to please people was over and beyond what most men can accomplish. Pauls vibrant personality and love of life was obvious to everyone. His light hearted teasing and tormenting people was his way of showing his affection for them and that they meant something to him. His love for good food and fines wines an d a cold beer was evident in his everyday life. Paul had a no-nonsense approach to life problems, which would comfort anyone around him. He had a large heart and gentle hand, when his hand was on your shoulder you know you were safe and know ther e was a great soul there to keep you that way. When you watched Paul interact with Children and animals you got a view through the window to his soul; What a beautiful view that was. |
