Dr. dEntremont a obtenu son diplôme du Ste Annes College de Church Point, N.-É., en 1940, puis de lUniversité Laval de Montréal en 1944. De 1944 à 1946, il a été officier médical dans lAviation royale du Canada. De 1951 à 1955, il se spécialisa en chirurgie générale (Montréal) pour ensuite retourner à Moncton. En 1957, il a reçu le prix du American College of Surgeons Fellowship et en 1972, le Canadian Fellowship in General Surgery. En 1976, il a été président de la Federation of the Medical Licensing Authorities of Canada puis président du Medical Coun cil of Canada. Il a par la suite reçu la Médaille du jubilé de la Reine. Dr. dEntremont a également été impliqué auprès de la Société médicale du Nouveau-Brunswick pendant plus de 40 ans et membre du comité consultatif provincial de la Canadian Medical Protective Association. En plus dêtre directeur dans le département des anciens combattants pendant 17 ans, il fut directeur du Centre de désintoxication pendant 10 ans. Dr. dEntremont graduated from Ste Annes College in Church Point, N.S., in 1940. He received his MD and LMCC from Université Laval in 1944. From 1944 to 1946, he was a medical officer in the Royal Canadian Air Force. From 1951 to1955, he specialized in General Surgery (Montréal) and subsequently returned to Moncton. In 1957, he was awarded the American College of Surgeons Fellowshi p and in 1972, the Canadian Fellowship in General Surgery. In 1976, he was president of the Federation of the Medical Licensing Authorities of Canada followed by being president of the Medical Council of Canada. He was subsequently awarded the Queens Jubilee Medal. Dr. dEntremont was also involved in the New Brunswick Medical Societys activities for over 40 years and was a member of the provincial consulting committee of the Canadian Medical Protective Association. In addition to being the director of DVA for 17 years, he was director of the Detox Centre for 10 years. |
