Todd coached hockey until he graduated from Riverview High School in 1990 and joined the Canadian Military the same year.

He co-owned and operated Muggers Café in 1997 with Annie.

Throughout the years, Todd worked for Co-op Centre, Irving Oil, Armour Transport, and Brunswick News.

He graduated from NBCC Moncton in 2008 with a degree in HR Management, which led him to a job working for Cooke Aquaculture in St. George, N.B.

He later worked for the Travelodge as a night auditor and was the Hotel Manager for Motel 6, both in Moncton.
