Note		Le service militaire d’Yvonne au sein de l’ARC a commencé de l’automne 1957 à juin 1960, d’abord stationnée à la station Beaverbank de l’ARC. Elle a commencé sa carrière d'enseignante à l'Université St. Francis Xavier, puis est diplômée du Normal College de Truro. Elle a obtenu son premier emploi d'enseignante à Spryfield, puis a déménagé vers l'ouest, enseignant à Bonnyville et à Fort Kent, en Alberta. Elle s'est ensuite lancée dans le domaine du travail social, en commençant à High Prairie, en Alberta. Elle est retournée en Nouvelle-Écosse en 1975 et a recommencé à enseigner, ce qu'elle continuera pendant les 22 années suivantes. **** Yvonne’s military service with the RCAF began in the fall of 1957 to June 1960, first stationed at RCAF Station Beaverbank.
