Note		Elle est diplômée de la Gardner High School en 1964 et a obtenu son baccalauréat en éducation en 1968 à la Fitchburg State University. Doris a travaillé à l'école primaire Templeton pendant sept ans, puis à l'école primaire Gardner pendant vingt-six ans jusqu'à sa retraite. Elle a également été consultante pour Houghton Mifflin pour aider à former les nouveaux enseignants. Elle était instructrice au Mount Wachusett Community College et formait les étudiants en anglais langue seconde. She graduated from Gardner High School in 1964 and earned her Bachelor’s Degree in education in 1968 from Fitchburg State University. Doris worked for Templeton Elementary School for seven years and then in the Gardner Elementary School for twenty-six years until her retirement. She was also a consultant for Houghton Mifflin to help educate new teachers. She was a Mount Wachusett Community College instructor, educating students in English as a Second Language.
