Charles a travaillé au service d’Atlantic Bandag, d’où vient son surnom de « Charlie Bandag », et où il était très respecté par les camionneurs pour un bon service rapide.

Il a ensuite travaillé au service d'Oliver Tire jusqu’à sa retraite. Il était membre de la paroisse Christ-Roi et membre au 4e Degré des Chevaliers de Colomb - Conseil no 6468.
