He worked at the Telegraph Journal as circulation manager for the Province for 35 years, retiring in 1984.

He loved boating and he and Bertha spent many happy hours cruising the Saint John and Kennebecasis Rivers.

Leo was a man of very strong faith, had a great sense of humour, and enjoyed a good joke especially if delivered by his niece, Marilyn Cook.
