C'était un photographe talentueux et il a pris des photos étonnantes. Gerald was well travelled, living in both Canada and the United States at different times in his life. He worked on the Bluenose as a bosun and deck hand. He was a carpenter and a foreman, as well as a drywaller. Gerald loved to tinker and make things with his hands. He was a talented photographer and took some amazing photographs.
