He resided in Grand Bay-Westfield for the past forty-four years and had been employed for many years with Irving Pulp and Paper. Roger was an avid sports fan and was involved with the Grand Bay Oldtimer’s Softball League for thirty-seven years

. He also coached the Grand Bay Merchants ball team. Roger loved to bowl with his Wednesday afternoon bowling club.
