Note		Alyre served in the Canadian Army during WW II. A fisherman, lumberman, and then a foreman for M.F. Esson's of Millerton for 25 years. He was a member of St. James Roman Catholic Church, Kouchibouguac, Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 30, Richibuctou and Kouchibouguac Seniors Club. Alyre was an avid outdoorsman enjoying fishing and gardening. He loved playing cards with his family and friends, woodworking in his shed and in later years participated in the Veteran's Out Reach Program at Bra nch No. 30.
