Allan graduated from the University of New Brunswick, where he played for the varsity hockey team, and went on to a career as an electrical engineer for over 40 years with Montreal Engineering. His career took him on projects around the world wit

h time spent living in Sri Lanka, Rio, Iran, Indonesia and Florida. Allan loved to fish, which helped his decision to finally settle in New Bandon. He was an avid football and hockey fan and also played a good game of crib.
