Paul was raised in Saint John’s South End where he attended Saint John the Baptist School, graduating from St. Malachy’s Memorial High School in 1963. He attended Saint Joseph’s College and graduated from Saint Francis Xavier University in 1969 wi

th his BA degree. He attended Holy Heart Seminary in Halifax attaining his Bachelor of Theology and graduated from the Maritime School of Social Work (now Dalhousie University) attaining his Masters in Social Work in 1971. Paul later attended Lava

l University in Quebec where he studied in French. As a Priest, Paul served in many parishes throughout the Saint John Diocese and served as Padre/Captain in the Canadian Armed Forces stationed at CFB Val Cartier where he was instrumental in found
