Guy received his elementary education at St. Dunstan's School and secondary at St. Joseph's University, Memramcook. He then attended UNB where he obtained his Civil Engineering Degree. He was an outstanding athlete and excelled in football, basket

ball, track and field and was the recipient of UNB's Corbett Medal in 1956 for his accomplishments in these three sports. He was also a member of Holy Family Parish.
