Note |
|
Gilman was fortunate to share his life with many people. During a building boom in the mid 1950s, Gil moved to Melrose Park, Illinois. Gilman was well known for his physical strength, Herculean if you will. During the late 60s, Gil owned and operated the Come Back In tavern in Van Buren and during the 70s and 80s he owned and operated the Hotel Van Buren, better known as "Th e Yacht Club". Gil was a volunteer firefighter in Van Buren and an active member of the Pine Runners four wheel club. |
