John graduated from University of Guelph with a BSc in 1976 and an MSc in 1980. Always one to follow his dreams, he left Canada in 1993 and went on to teach in the International School System in Papua New Guinea, Australia, Japan, China and Laos

. He returned home to Canada in 2013 and settled in Saint John, NB. John was accomplished at many things, and had a passion for teaching, chess and tennis, but especially for his family.
