His family moved to Saint John, NB in 1959 where he completed his schooling and embarked on a career in sales.

Following a move to Moncton he was able to use his lifelong love of cooking to establish the Country Cookery Restaurant.

He first worked on Mountain Road and then was moved to Riverview, where it remained with a loyal clientele until it closed in 2014.
