Until his retirement he worked as a meter reader for 40 years for the Boston Gas Company.

In his spare time, Ed loved music and enjoyed playing the saxophone for many years.

He was a band member for the "Dad's and the Grandad's" for 10 years.

He also enjoyed his garden, golfing, and loved reading Civil War history.

Ed was a World War II and Korean War veteran serving with the United Sates Navy.
